Literacy

We will start the term looking at rhyme using the book, Pass the Jam, Jim by Kaye Umansky and Margaret Chamberlain. We will look at rhyming words such as tin, pin and bin. We will then be sequencing the steps of making a jam sandwich, we will then follow these steps to make our own jam sandwiches!

We will then move on to learning about Chinese New Year. We will learn the story of the great race and look how the festival, is celebrated throughout the world.

Finally, we will end the half term by focussing on the book Blue Penguin by Petr Horacek. We will sequence the story and then use Rainbow Talk to write about how we think and feel about the story.
