How do I apply for a place for my child at Netherthorpe?

This is one of the questions we are asked most frequently. We are a community school and so do not organise our own admissions, apart from Nursery. If you have a child who is Nursery age (3-4 years old and not 5 years old before 1 September), please ask our office staff about how to apply for a place in our Nursery.

If your child is Reception age or above, you need to contact the Admissions team to apply for a place. Applying online is probably the easiest way to apply for a place in school. Please be aware that we are a one form entry school and only have 30 places available for each year group. We are often oversubscribed and are not able to make exceptions about who joins our school. If your child is not placed at Netherthorpe Primary School, we strongly advise that you accept a place offered at another school and put your child on our waiting list. Every day that your child is not in school is a day of learning missed that can never be repeated.
