Halle Orchestra

Our Y2,Y3 & Y4 classes attended the Halle Orchestra last month.

They had a lovely time singing, dancing and listening to the music as did their teachers and the parent volunteers.

We would like to say a big thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped out on the day, the trip wouldn't have been able to go ahead without you!

Also a massive well done to all three classes who took part, they behaved amazingly both on the walk to and from the City Hall and during the performance.

World Book Day

Last month all the children across school celebrated World Book Day.

EYFS celebrated by having parents come into school and read stories in some of the children's home languages, they also came to school dressed in their cosy pyjamas.

KS1 celebrated by creating their very own stories about animals and coming in dressed as their favourite animals or book characters.

KS2 celebrated by dressing up as their favourite book characters and creating their very own 'Rivers of reading' art work. These pieces included all the children favourite stories from when they were really young up until now. We also had a reporter come into school from BBC Look North to interview some of our children from KS2 and Mr Wright.

Crucial Crew Y6

Our Y6 class went on a trip to the Lifewise Centre in Rotherham last month to take part in 'Crucial Crew' which has been created by South Yorkshire Police to teach our children life skills ahead of their transition to Secondary School.

As you can see from the photos all of the class were really enthusiastic about taking part in all of the activities and hopefully they learnt some very valuable life skills.

Well done Y6.
