Newsletter 1: Mr Goodhand - Welcome Back

Hello,

It has been wonderful to welcome back so many familiar faces to our school and to see some new faces too! All the children have come back full of enthusiasm and with big smiles on their faces and we have loved welcoming them back to Netherthorpe Primary School. So far we have been very impressed with everybody’s attitudes to learning and their behaviour around school – well done everyone!

The half-term has got off to a flying start and the children are already working hard and learning lots. There are science experiments taking place, trips to Yorkshire Wildlife Park and some amazing writing (to name but a few things) already taking place. The children are also looking very smart and ready for learning in their school uniform and P.E. kits (details of this are on our website).

We have already had some meetings for parents in which they could meet their child’s teacher and hear about what their children will be learning in this half-term. Thank you to everybody who has attended these. As always, if you have any questions about your child’s learning then class teachers will be available on the yard if you have any quick questions.

We are very much looking forward to the Autumn Term and the rest of the school year, where we are sure the children will continue to impress and amaze us with their positive attitudes, kindness and hard work.
