Spelling, punctuation and grammar

Each week, pupils will learn spelling, punctuation and grammar within literacy lessons and will also have one or two lesson a week focusing on areas of weakness in relation to the text type.  

Spelling tests are every Monday, and new spellings will be given out every Monday or Tuesday.  Children should practise their spellings every day and should be able to apply spelling rules to their writing.

When we learn new spelling or grammar rules, a video and some games linked to these activities will be shared with pupils on the Active Learn (Bug Club) site.
