Welcome back and collection arrangements at the end of the day
Dear Parents and Carers
It is so good to see you all again. I hope that everyone has had a great summer and is safe, well and vaccinated, if at all possible.
We are now using the main playground again for entering and leaving school. In order to help make sure that children stay as safe as possible, we are not opening the gates before 3.10pm as we did last year. Instead, we are waiting until all the classes from Year 1 to Year 6 have come out onto the playground and have lined up with their teacher. This is because our playground is small and there are more children and adults using it now. My apologies if this means you have to wait a few minutes longer than last year but keeping the children safe and knowing that they have been collected by their parents and carers is always of paramount importance.
Children in Nursery and F2 will continue to be collected from the doors that were used last year.
We will be holding class meetings for parents and carers of children in Years 1 to 6 over the next couple of weeks to introduce this term's curriculum and give oyou information about how you can help your child at home. Further information about this will be sent to you in the coming days.
As always, if you have any questions, concerns or would like to see me, please do not hesitate. At the moment we are still asking parents, carers and any visitors to the school to continue to wear face masks in the school building.
Yours sincerely
Elizabeth Gray
