Holiday work

Dear Parents and Carers

I hope that the calls home that our staff are making each week are helpful and supportive - they are certainly aimed to be.  Your feedback so far has been really positive.

It is now officially  the Easter Holidays and usually we would just send a few activities home for homework; these are often creative activities that are linked to the topics the children have been studying. This year we have extended the activities to include maths and literacy. Please do not feel that your children have to complete any or all of these activities. We have put them on the website to help you keep a routine for the children but, of course, you know your children best and should decide if you want them to be doing more formal learning over the holidays.

I would also like to say that we have all been thrown in at the deep end with regard to uploading and downloading resources and using the student part of the website. We are experiencing a few glitches, so please bear with us and let staff know if you are experiencing any difficulties in accessing resources when they call you.

I hope that you are all well and are keeping safe. I am sure that you are following the government guidance: Stay home, protect the NHS, save lives.  I just want to make sure that you know that you can still take your children outside for some exercise each day, as long as you are all keeping a safe distance of 2 metres from people around.

Take care and please remember you can email me, if you need to. Also, calls from school are now being directed to my phone during the week, so please call if you ever have any questions.

Very best wishes,

Elizabeth Gray
